What EcommIQ for Amazon Vendors does

EcommIQ is the analytics and data platform Digital Fuel Capital operates for its portfolio companies. It combines a data warehouse, a governed semantic layer and dashboards that each company's team uses to run its business. EcommIQ for Amazon Vendors is the connector that brings Amazon Vendor Central data into that platform through the roles described below.

Connect

A vendor authorizes EcommIQ for Amazon Vendors from its own Vendor Central account using Amazon's standard authorization flow. Digital Fuel Capital never asks for Vendor Central usernames or passwords.

Ingest

On a schedule, the app requests reports and data through the roles below and loads them into a schema in EcommIQ dedicated to that vendor account.

Report

The data is modeled in EcommIQ's semantic layer and shown in dashboards used for weekly business reviews, inventory planning and sales reporting.

Data access requested: SP-API roles

The SP-API roles below support the Vendor Central catalog, purchase order and retail analytics reporting provided by EcommIQ for Amazon Vendors. This functionality does not require restricted roles or buyer personally identifiable information.

Product Listing

Amazon describes this role as: “Create and manage product listings, including A+ content.

What the app reads
Catalog and listing information for the vendor's own ASINs: product titles, brand, category, images, listing attributes and A+ content status.
How EcommIQ uses it
This information builds the product dimension in EcommIQ, so sales, traffic and inventory can be grouped by product, brand and category. EcommIQ also flags ASINs with incomplete listings or missing A+ content so the vendor's team can address them in Vendor Central.
Not used for
The app does not create, edit or submit product listings or A+ content. Listing changes are made by the vendor's team directly in Vendor Central.

Inventory and Order Tracking

Amazon describes this role as: “Analyze and manage inventory. Does not include information required to generate shipping labels.

What the app reads
Purchase orders and their status, purchase order acknowledgements, shipment confirmations and inventory positions for the connected vendor account.
How EcommIQ uses it
EcommIQ tracks open purchase orders, fill rates and lead times, and compares on-hand inventory against Amazon's forecast so the vendor's operations team can plan production and replenishment.
Not used for
The app does not access or generate shipping label information.

Brand Analytics

Amazon describes this role as: “Access your sales and inventory data to manage your Amazon Retail business.

What the app reads
Amazon's retail analytics reports for each connected Vendor Central account: retail sales (ordered and shipped revenue and units), traffic (glance views and conversion), inventory (sellable and unsellable on-hand units, aged inventory and open purchase order quantities) and forecasting (Amazon's demand forecast at the mean, P70, P80 and P90 levels). Reports are pulled at the ASIN and week level.
How EcommIQ uses it
These reports are loaded into EcommIQ on a schedule and shown in dashboards the vendor's team uses to track sell-through, spot changes in traffic and conversion, plan inventory against Amazon's forecast and reconcile sales to shipments. Access to account-specific dashboards is limited to that vendor's team and the Digital Fuel Capital staff who support that company. Data use and sharing are described in the privacy policy summarized below.
Not used for
The app does not change any Brand Analytics settings, does not use this data for advertising targeting and does not sell it to third parties.

How EcommIQ for Amazon Vendors handles data

The summary below explains how data obtained through SP-API is collected, used, stored, protected, shared and deleted. The full privacy policy that governs this application is linked below.

Collection
The app collects data through the SP-API roles listed above for Vendor Central accounts whose owners have authorized it. This reporting does not require restricted roles or buyer personally identifiable information.
Use
Data supports the connected vendor's reporting in EcommIQ. The privacy policy also describes service uses for security, support, compliance and improvement. Use remains subject to Amazon's applicable data policies.
Storage
Data is stored in EcommIQ's data warehouse, hosted on Amazon Web Services, in a schema dedicated to the vendor account it came from. It is retained only as long as needed to provide the reporting and to comply with Amazon's data protection and retention policies.
Protection
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited by role to the vendor's team and the Digital Fuel Capital staff who support that company, alongside the technical and organizational controls described in the privacy policy.
Sharing
Data is not sold to third parties. The privacy policy permits sharing with service providers needed to operate EcommIQ and disclosures for legal obligations or business transactions with appropriate protections. Identifiable brand-specific data is not shared with other brands. Data obtained through SP-API is not shared with other vendors or used for cross-brand analytics.
Deletion
A vendor can revoke the app's authorization in Vendor Central at any time. On revocation, or on written request to the contact below, Digital Fuel Capital stops ingestion and deletes or anonymizes the data obtained through SP-API following its data deletion procedures, unless law or Amazon's policies require longer retention.
